NEWS COPY EDITOR/GRAPHIC ARTIST
The Citizens’ Voice, Wilkes-Barre, PA, has an immediate opening for a news copy editor with graphic design skills.
The ideal candidate will have a journalism background, solid editing skills and proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Freehand, and Quark. We’re looking for an editor who can design pages with flair and also build local maps, charts and graphics while also adapting wire graphics to local style.
We’re also looking for a copy editor/artist who understands the basics and importance of the Web in breaking news. This includes an understanding of interactive technologies, and a knowledge of, or willingness to work with online and multimedia (including audio and video).
